Great place to grab some Hawaiian fusion food in Japantown! I came here on a Friday night around 8pm, and there was plenty of seating so we were seated immediately. My party of 4 split some dishes: the wings, garlic noodles with kalbi, a side of Mac salad, the mochiko chicken, and the garlic butter shrimp. All of the dishes served here are meant to be family style, which worked best for us anyways! The food was delicious, and it came out pretty quickly. Service was also very quick and efficient as well! The vibe is that of a cool place to grab drinks with friends and hang out, which was definitely what we did! Overall, great place if you're craving some Hawaiian fusion food in Japantown!
Cocktails are A1. Good place to watch the games. Large area for party reservations. Ample space for seating. They're well known for their wings which are pretty bomb but I especially enjoyed the drinks here.
Hands-down my favorite restaurant in SF :) I've brought many friends to Pa'ina because of their delicious foods and their good daily deals! For weekly specials, they have Wing Wednesdays (25 cent wings with purchase of a food or drink item), $1 Oyster Thursdays, Mai Tais and Happy Hour Food for a discounted price on Fridays and Saturday (5-7 pm) and Bottomless Mimosas on weekends from 11 am to 3 pm for $25! We came on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't a wait :). We ordered the Poke Nachos, Spam Musubi and Garlic Noodz. The Poke Nachos is my go-to every time! You have the option of choosing your Poke flavor - it's Raw Ahi Tunu with whatever flavoring you choose :) I feel like the Island Style gave the most umami flavor out of the other options. The nachos also came up fixings like homemade (?) crispy chips, guacamole, Sriracha and Citrus Aioli, Serrano peppers, Nori and Scallions - 10/10 recommend. We think the Garlic Noodz are also made in-house since they were so thicc and good quality!! I know Spam Musubi is a pretty standard Hawaiian food item but the Spam Musubi here just tastes gourmet and is just chef's kiss! Love the atmosphere here as well. I know a lot of people come here for watch parties and love that sport games are usually on here :) Pa'ina is super spacious with two main areas out front along with karaoke rooms available for a more intimate get-together! Staff members here are so accommodating and helpful! We didn't order the drinks this time but the Li Hing Margarita has also been my go-to every time I end up getting a drink here! I don't think there has been a food or drink item I didn't enjoy here :) Would definitely recommend checking Pa'ina out!
Who doesn't love a place that brings the warmth of Hawaii to you? I happened upon this place when visiting Japan town. This is was our first visit and we grabbed some beers and spam musubis and we were delightfully satisfied. I love a Kona Beer on tap and lucky for me, they had it! The staff was friendly and attentive. We noticed that they have some really cool events. We will definitely be back and hopefully we can catch one of the fun events.
I used to love coming here for their Wings Wednesday deal, but I've noticed the portion sizes have become smaller, making it less worthwhile. However, their non-happy hour food is surprisingly amazing and reasonably priced. The service can be slow, and the place tends to get a bit too loud, but it's still a great spot for a casual dinner. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere!
Stopped by for Friday happy hour which included Mai Tai's and bites. The drinks were a little sweet for my liking - my friend couldn't finish theirs. The food was good tho! Really enjoyed the spam masubi and the fries were crispy. Service was efficient. We were sat immediately and the waitress checked in on us a couple of times. The restaurant itself is a very large space where I think they host events and a karaoke night. However for happy hour, there weren't many ppl there. I've heard great things about their wing night and am looking forward to checking it out.
This is the go to spot for drinks and wings, esp on Wednesdays when they have a wings deal! The vibes in here are super chill and good for any occasion whether it be for game day, happy hour, after work events, and birthdays. I come here often on other days also since their food is always a hit plus they always have different happy hour specials! My usual gets are wings (they have a variety of Asian inspired flavors but the garlic cilantro and sweet chili are faves. A 5/5 for me. Loco moco (5/5) the dish comes smothered in gravy with a runny egg and super that gravy is packed with flavor. You can request how well you want it cooked also. Kimchi fried rice (4/5) Garlic noodles (5/5) love how they use the thick noodles. They come out with a nice bite and chew to it, packed with garlic flavor! Staff here is always scoping for tables and service here is also super quick and they're very attentive when you need more water, drinks, or want to add anything to the menu! They also have karaoke on the lower level for you to book if you want a little more private space!
Pre planned date day. We made reservations for 1130am but really not needed as we were 1/2 parties here. The decor is a bit of a hang out spot and not really a date vibe. I think there's an area for clubbing/dancing. We ordered poke - my husband really loved it and thought it was well made. waygu burger - unfortunately really bland. definitely a no. broccolini - very well flavored. cooked perfectly. lots of garlic. garlic noodles - thick and hearty. good quantity. also lots and lots of garlic tater tots - initially I thought it was definitely a pass. we took it home and our picky toddler ate most of it. it is more for a group hang type of dish. They gave us a small complimentary Dole Whip. It was a nice date and our waitresses were both nice. If I lived around here, I would come for happy hour or group of friends/coworkers.
We came here for Wednesday WINGSDAY happy hour and it was so lit since you order 1 drink or food item to get an order of 6 wings 25cent/wing. There was only 1 waitress for the bottom area and she was busy! We were hungry and asked if we can do more than one order of wings at a time per person but she said the system wouldn't let her. We got beers and drinks as well as the pork baos but the inside was rowdy with a lot of conversations and even a DJ!
